Let’s envision the geopolitical landscape of the USA changing to a more local city/state/regional system … where the financial resources of our communities stay local rather than going to the centralized national government. We need to return control of essential services to the people – where it belongs. Local control would be a much more reflexive, human-centered organization.

Picture small cities surrounded by co-housing settlements, choosing intentional ventures of various kinds:

Imagine…

Community members engage and support commerce on Main Street where they hold part-time jobs that express ingenuity and positive enterprise. City-states connect to one another to foster aligned philosophical goals and values. Sister Cities link across the country and planet, sharing ideas and products generously and creatively. Health care could truly become a support system for human health and happiness – with community funded, no-cost, non-profit rejuvenation centers for holistic mind-body-spirit integration.

Small is Beautiful!

Each “off the grid” unit has one bedroom, a flexible loft area, kitchenette, bathroom, and sitting room. Also, each home has a covered exterior porch and abundantly shared common areas such as a workshop, greenhouse, barn, and central gathering building.

The concept is intended for a small group living arrangement, co-housing style, with flexible accommodations for visiting artists, musicians, and writers, and family, to stay for varying amounts of time, keeping the social interactions lively.

The greater idea envisions other similar community groupings in nearby locations with the readiness to barter produce, skills, tools, and educational resources. There is so much potential for sharing! Less redundancy.

It is also a multigenerational model: wizened elders, individuals, parents, and brilliant crystal/indigo children, working together for the “highest benefit of all”.

Have land? Muscle? I would gladly design and coordinate a project like this.

You may say I’m a dreamer… but I’m not the only one…
